Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read my story.

My name is Vaida, I’m a 40-year-old woman who came to the UK from another country in hopes of building a better life. I’ve been working since I was 16, always trying to support myself, work hard, pay taxes, and contribute like anyone else. Life has had its ups and downs, but I’ve always found a way to keep going and stand back up.

That’s why it’s especially hard for me to ask for help now.

I am currently employed, but my income is very low. Due to the language barrier and the difficulty of finding a job that matches my skills and experience, it has been extremely hard to get a well-paying job. I do not receive any government benefits. Meanwhile, the cost of living has risen sharply – with increasing bills, mortgage payments, and energy costs – and it has become incredibly hard to keep up.

A few months ago, I also lost my mother back home. It was a painful loss for me and an even deeper blow to my father, who is disabled and still under retirement age. He is unable to work, and I now carry the responsibility of supporting him as well – from afar.

It’s becoming very difficult to manage everything alone, both emotionally and financially. That is why, in this difficult moment, I am asking for your help.

Even £1, which may seem like nothing to someone else, could mean a great deal to me right now. Every little bit makes a difference.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone who reads this, shares it, or chooses to support. Your kindness is more than financial help – it gives me strength and hope. Read more
